What is The Life in the Spirit Seminar?
The Life in the Spirit Seminar is a widely used course which has helped millions of Christians to awaken the grace of their Baptism and Confirmation, express their faith more fully and make a deeper commitment to their spiritual life. The seminar presents the central truths of the Gospel: God’s love for man, the salvation he offers us in Jesus Christ and his invitation to receive new life. It encourages and equips participants to employ the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to them in the Sacrament of Baptism and strengthened in the Sacrament of Confirmation so they can live and serve the church in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Life in the Spirit Seminar consists of talks each followed by a moderated small group on the following 7 topics:
God’s Love
Salvation
New Life
Receiving God’s Gift
Praying for Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Growth*
Transformation in Christ*
*Growth and Transformation are commonly combined into a single talk.
Presentation Options

1. Present one talk per weekly session for 6 consecutive weeks (90 minutes each).

2. Present all talks as a full day of reflection (10 hours of presentation time needed)

The CCR Office strongly recommends Option #3.
Work with the CCR Office to:
Set a Date(s)
Plan the Logistics (i.e. Online Registration, Meals, Presentation Space)
Meet with Liaison/Associate Liaison and presenters to discuss the seminar, its goals, needs and to develop a Life in the Spirit Seminar follow up plan.
Cost
Cost
The CCR Office charges a presentation fee of $10 per participant with a minimum fee of $250. This fee covers office staff preparation expenses and presentation materials (promotional flyers, handouts and program booklets). It DOES NOT include any snacks, meals or additional expenses the parish may incur to offer this program.
