Episcopal Advisor
Most Reverend James T. Schuerman was born April 5, 1958. He attended St. Joseph’s Grade School, Lyons, Wis., Burlington Jr. High School, and Burlington High School. He enrolled in Saint Francis de Sales Seminary College from 1976 to 1980, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts degree and, after attending Saint Francis de Sales Seminary for his first year of theology from 1980 to 1981, was selected for studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, earning his Masters of Theology. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 17, 1986, by Archbishop Rembert G. Weakland, O.S.B.
Most Reverend Schuerman was named Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee by Pope Francis on January 25, 2017.
Bishop Schuerman speaks German and is highly fluent in Spanish, which has aided his ministry in the southwestern area of the archdiocese where there is a growing population of Hispanic Catholics. In 2012, he received the archdiocesan Vatican II Award for Service to the Priesthood.
Liaison
Bill has over a dozen years of ministry experience. Serving as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva, WI he directed nine area-wide Confirmation Retreats, initiated an annual parish trip to the Steubenville Youth Conference which achieved a 400% year-over-year attendance increase; and authored, produced and directed Contemporary Living Stations of the Cross an annual Lenten stage drama during his tenure from 2007 until 2013.
He was then recruited to join the team that conceived, designed, and launched WSFI 88.5 FM Catholic Radio in Antioch, IL. He oversaw all in-studio technical operations, and production, hosting various radio shows as Production Manager from December 2013 until October 2016.
After briefly returning to parish youth ministry, in 2018, he founded Patchwork Heart Ministry a Catholic non-profit young adult media ministry with the mission of sewing hope into broken hearts. You can learn more about this ministry at patchworkheart.org
In January of 2023, Bill was elected to the Board of Directors for Pentecost Today USA, the National Service Committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the United States.
Associate Liaison
Simon Biagui fell in love with the Lord in his youth. Which encouraged him to be a founding member of the intra-cultural prayer group at Blessed Savior parish.
For his graduate studies, Simon attended Sacred Heart Seminary School of Theology. He has served as a speaker, a trainer and a prayer leader in the renewal locally and internationally. He is passionate about helping others grow in divine intimacy.
Simon serves as the Director of Evangelization and Discipleship with the Northwest Milwaukee Catholic Parishes. He a second-year student with Encounter Ministries.
Simon speaks five languages. He is fluent in French and can converse in Spanish.

Discerners are volunteers who make a commitment to serve the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. They meet monthly to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit, plan events, and pray for the needs of the Renewal.
